YAGNI, Inc. (“YAGNI”, “we”, or “us”) operates an account-notification text-message program for signed-in users of the YAGNI web application at https://app.yagni.app. The program is entirely optional. You are never texted unless you add a phone number yourself, tick the consent box, and confirm the number with a one-time code.
I. Program Description
Program name: YAGNI Notifications. Message sender: YAGNI, Inc. The program sends two kinds of message, both tied to your own account activity:
- Brief digests — a summary of your workspace at the times you schedule, for each Brief slot where you have switched on text delivery.
- Urgent alerts — only if you enable them, a notice when something in your workspace matches the urgency guidance your team has set.
We do not send marketing, promotional, or advertising text messages, and we do not text anyone who has not confirmed their own number. There is no two-way conversation over SMS beyond the STOP, START, and HELP keywords below.
II. How You Opt In
In the YAGNI web application, go to Settings → Editions. The Phone number card asks for your number in E.164 format and shows a consent checkbox, unticked by default. The “Text me a code” button stays disabled until you tick it. The checkbox reads, verbatim:
I agree to receive recurring automated text messages from YAGNI at the number above: my scheduled Brief digests, and urgent alerts if I turn them on. Message frequency varies, up to 3 messages per day. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe, HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase. See SMS Terms, Terms and Privacy Policy.
Ticking the box and pressing “Text me a code” sends a single one-time verification code to the number. Entering that code confirms the number and completes the opt-in. Until the number shows as verified, every text-delivery toggle in the product stays disabled, so an unconfirmed number can never receive a Brief or an alert. Urgent alerts are a separate toggle, also off by default.
III. Message Frequency and Cost
Message frequency varies with your own notification settings, up to a maximum of 3 messages per day. Message and data rates may apply; YAGNI does not charge you for the messages, but your mobile carrier’s standard rates for text messages and data do apply, and we are not responsible for them. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
IV. How to Stop Messages (Opt Out)
You can stop the messages at any time, by any of these means:
- Reply STOP to any message from us. STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, and QUIT are all honored. You will receive one confirmation that you have been unsubscribed, and then no further messages.
- Reply START if you later want to resume messages to that number.
- Remove the number, or switch off the individual delivery toggles, in Settings → Editions in the web application.
V. Help and Support
Reply HELP to any message for information about the program and how to opt out. For anything else, contact us at support@yagni.app. We aim to answer within one business day.
VI. Supported Carriers
The program supports major US carriers, including AT&T, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, Sprint, Boost, Cricket, MetroPCS, U.S. Cellular, Virgin Mobile, and most regional and reseller carriers. Carriers are not required to support the program, and support may change without notice.
VII. Privacy
Your phone number is used to deliver the messages you have asked for and to record your opt-in and opt-out state. Twilio, our messaging provider, processes the number and message content in order to deliver it, and generates and checks the verification codes. Beyond that, text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties and are never sold or shared for marketing purposes. See our Privacy Policy for the full picture, and our Terms of Service for the terms governing the wider service.
